Koper is a great place to discover by bike, and you don’t have to go far to find a good route. Start right outside the hotel, follow the seaside promenade and within minutes, you’re cycling along the coast.

For an easy ride, follow the sea towards Izola, an old fishing town with colourful streets, seaside cafés and plenty of places to stop along the way. If you have more time, continue towards Strunjan and Piran and make a day of exploring the Slovenian coast on two wheels.

For something a little longer, take on the Parenzana, the former railway line that once connected Trieste and Poreč. The route takes you through old railway tunnels, vineyards and Istrian countryside. Or head inland from Koper, where olive groves, small villages and quieter roads are waiting just beyond the sea. An e-bike makes the hills easier and lets you explore a little further.
